At Bronte we offer a range of whirlpool and spa systems so you can choose a system that is right for you. Every system is hand built to your requirement and the planning sheet on Planning You Bath allows us to personalise your bath for you. Simply choose a system add a bath and you have the perfect match for your bathroom.
Bronte baths are available in two types: standard reinforced or Bluestone extra reinforced. Bronte Bluestone triple-reinforced baths are robust enough to take the pressures of frequent use (because yes, you’ll be in there a lot). It’s a strengthening process designed to cope with powerful hydromassage and the demands of a pump and/or air-blowing system. Year after year, your bath will hold up without moving or creaking when it shouldn’t. Bronte standard reinforced baths offer excellent quality and value, so you can have style on a budget.
We never forget that it’s your bathroom. So we build choice into everything. Our comprehensive range offers something for everyone, from economy solutions to the highly functional and more expensive.
For example, our whirlpool and spa options can be combined. We’ll fit our systems to other manufacturers’ baths. And we give you plenty of options for designing a system that’s just right for you and your bathroom. We’ll do all we can to position your jets, your controls - and even the pump - precisely where you want them.
All Bronte baths are supported by a heavyduty frame, with the massage powerpack already fitted. This means all your plumber has to do is connect the taps and waste, and all your electrician has to do is wire in the power supply. (With a bath sourced elsewhere, we use its own frame and fit our own pump stand to take our pump.)
All Bronte hydromassage systems comply with European Standard EN60-335, part 2.
They are also fully guaranteed against faulty workmanship or materials, as follows:
Controls 2 years
Pipework 10 years
Bronte bathtubs 25 years
Please note that these periods do not represent the expected lifespan of each component, but a reasonable time within which any faulty workmanship or parts should come to light. These guarantees do not affect your statutory rights. Terms and conditions apply.
All Bronte whirlpool baths are fitted with Maxicare antibacterial pipework, the unique system which kills bacteria 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the lifetime of your bath.
Don't take our word for it! Independent laboratory tests prove that our Maxicare pipework is highly resistant to Staphylococcus aureus (a common skin bacteria) and legionella pneumophila (much more rare, but the common cause of Legionnaire’s disease).
All our whirlpools are also fitted with Maxidrain pipework, the unique method of ensuring your pipes drain completely. This ensures no water is left behind in which bacteria can breed, becoming harmful and smelly.
Unlike most systems, with Bronte baths there’s no need to use chemical disinfectants after every use. All you need to do is use our ‘Refresh’ care sachet once a month. Simple!
From a company like Bronte, you’d expect nothing less than a hand-made system. And that’s exactly what you’ll get.
That means you can choose the specification that works perfectly for you and your bathroom - so installation is simpler for you and your plumber.
Choosing the perfect whirlpool or spa system from Bronte is easy. But to help you, here are some step-by-step guidelines – because taking a few extra minutes now could increase your bathtime pleasure for years to come. Or you can leave it to us: if you don’t give us a specification, we’ll deliver your bath the way it appears in the brochure. Either way, nothing could be simpler.
We suggest you find a sharp pencil and a rubber, and start with the planning grid we’ve provided. (Remember to make your drawing clear enough for someone else to understand, and use a key to explain any abbreviations you use, eg ‘T = taps’).
If you need assistance with your design, please don’t hesitate to call us here at Bronte, or ask your local showroom. We’re all here to help. And to make your bathroom a better place.
Here’s how to plan your dream bath:
Draw in the shape of the bath - Some baths come right- and left-handed, so be sure to indicate the one you want.
Sketch in your bathroom walls. This way, we’ll be able to tell which is the open (front) side of the bath, and we’ll be able to position the pump and controls for easy access.
Mark on the tap positions and where the waste is, and if you plan to use an overflow filler. If you’ve selected a Bronte bath, we’ll already know where the waste is. All Bronte baths are supplied un-drilled, so you can choose the taps that best suit your bathroom.
Are you having a shower screen? If so, show its position on your diagram. That way, we won’t put the controls in a place that would clash with the screen.
Show where you’d like us to position the controls. We’ll endeavour to get them right on the spot, or as close as technically possible.
Finally, what type of panel will you require? Is it contoured plastic, wood, or will the bath be tiled-in? We need to know, so that we can ensure your pipework steers well clear. Whichever you choose, remember that access must be possible for servicing.
